COMMUNITY HEALTH
Optimal nutrition leads to optimal health
We see every challenge as an opportunity, and at Laulau Solutions we recognized that many of our ohana and community members here in Hawaii were unable to get adequatenutrition during the Pandemic. Whether people were unable to leave their houses because of physical limitations, or if individuals had lost their job, or for some, not knowing how to cook or prepare food was enough of a reason to receive our foods as a healthy alternative.
LAND RESTORATION PROJECT
Reviving lo'i kalo
Laulau Solutions is dedicated to using traditional foods (kalo, lau, ulu, uala, mai'a, etc.) in each of our laulau; however this type of production requires us to maintain aina through traditional practices. Currently, we are in the process of restoring 13 acres of what could potentially be both mala and lo'i kalo, allowing us to grow, produce, and process everything all in one location.

EDUCATION
Our keiki are our future
Laulau Solutions is dedicated to continuing the education of our youth through our aina-based curriculum that focuses not only on traditional farming practices and techniques, but also contemporary styles of cultivation and preparation of produce, from farm-to-table.

WHO WE ARE
Our Roots
Laulau Solutions is a grass-roots nonprofit organization that had started in the lockdown period of Covid-19 as a source for our community members to receive FREE nutritious foods through one of our traditional foods, laualau.
Through many community donations, volunteers, and partnerships with farmers around the island, we are able to service thousands of people in-need of healthy and nutritious options when it comes to food.
